Liverpool as a vibrant city is currently tidying to beautify itself. In 2008, Liverpool hosted for one year for the European Capital of Culture activities. This event is always held every year by the European Union as one way to introduce the cultures of Europe and also became one of alternative funding for cities that enough left in Europe. Liverpool itself is one of the poorest cities in the UK. Therefore, during the year 2008 yesterday, Liverpool was always filled with various events in order to capture tourists who get a lot of funds would result from any activity carried out.
Today Liverpool are holding road improvements in many places, construction of new buildings as business centers, as well as physical improvements public facilities. I originally thought to be host to events on the European Capital of Culture Liverpool should be ready and be ‘beautiful’ on D-Day, but my thinking was wrong. Precisely after the big event was over before Liverpool slowly began to ‘beautify themselves’.
Mersey River is precisely located on the area around Albert Dock and Liverpool Marina.
Albert Dock itself is one of the favorite places to visit, especially at dusk. At the Albert Dock area many new buildings that were constructed as including Liverpool Echo Arena, a building that was super giant and becoming a place where often held concerts or exhibitions. This building was completed in 2008. Near Liverpool Echo Arena are now installed a ‘giant wheel’ as the London Eye which Liverpool called The Big Wheel, which was installed before the goods on the new shopping center, Liverpool One. Liverpool One was also completed in 2009 and began operations in last September.
